With the infinite blessings and love of the Lord, the society was able to publish nine souvenirs as on date – all of them released by Bhagawan HIMSELF. I would like to conclude this article by mentioning the names of these special volumes. Late Dr Diwakarla Venkatavadhanigaru and Late Sri P Sitapati IAS (Retd) were the editors. Sri P Sridhar, IRS (Retd) took over the reigns of Editorship from the year 2010 onwards.

There are scores of such experiences of the Divine with the members of the Society …We offer my humble pranams and heartfelt thanks at the lotus feet of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba varu for giving me an opportunity to be a grain of sand under His divine feet in His avatharic mission. We are happy to inform you that all these volumes had articles contributed by eminent personalities across the world.
With the infinite blessings and directions of Bhagawan, we are also happy to inform you that six gold medals and six commendation medals in the name of our Divine Lord - Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai were instituted by the society in the year 1987 for award annually based on the Divine guidelines of Bhagawan Baba. These medals were awarded to the best students in Andhra Pradesh in the faculties of (1) Medical, Dental, Agricultural and Veterinary sciences (2) Degree in Arts & Commerce (3) Degree in Sciences (4) Degree in Engineering and Technology (5) Intermediate Sciences and (6) Intermediate (Humanities). The awardees from the year 1987 to 1990 received the medals from the Divine Hands of Bhagawan at Prasanthi Nilayam on the most auspicious Gurupoornima day. Subsequently, on the directions of Bhagawan Baba, the medals for the subsequent years were awarded by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh in the Durbar hall of the Raj Bhavan. During the auspicious 80th birthday, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Gold medals were instituted for students of schools and colleges in Andhra Pradesh in literary and cultural competitions.
We are pleased to inform you that with the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Baba, the society has also conducted symposia for Teachers, Principals, Lawyers, Professors and Doctors on Human Values and Education. In the year 1989, the Society organised a symposium Human values in Industry for Industrialists and Banking Executives at Hyderabad. The Symposium was inaugurated by the then Union Minister for Finance, Late Sri S.B. Chavan. A souvenir Prasanthi was also brought out on this occasion. With this success, the Sri Prasanthi society organised yet another symposium Human Values in Administration in the year 1992 for Central and State Government Civil Servants (IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc,.) Heads of various departments of the Government of India, Chartered Accountants etc,. This symposium was inaugurated by the former Vice President of India, Late Sri K. Krishan Kant.
In the year 2005, a symposium “Role of Youth in Building India through Values and Service was organized in Hyderabad. About 350 students from leading professional colleges attended this symposium. Sri Sushil Kumar Shinde, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh and present Union Minister for Power, Government of India, inaugurated the symposium.
In the year 1996, the society has started a permanent diagnostic clinic with a full fledged pharmacy in Hyderabad on every Sunday to cater to the needs of the poor and under privileged. Eminent doctors from different hospitals of Hyderabad involve in this service activity. Bhagawan Baba in His Infinite Love has been constantly guiding the progress of this clinic. As on date over 2 Lakh patients have been treated as Outpatients in our clinic.
As our contribution to the Student community, the society conducts competitions in Essay, Elocution and Quiz for school and college going students on topics of national integration, Love and Service as the main themes. Thousands of students in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh participate in this competition to win annual scholarships awarded by the Society. The society also started the education activities with free tutorials in Hyderabad wherein free coaching was extended to High School and Intermediate students by eminent faculty free of charges
Sri Prasanthi Society was started by a few of us, devotees of Bhagawan Baba in the year 1985 with the objective of rendering seva in thought, word and deed to the society.
